Shawna Amarnani, CPA*

Shawna Amarnani is a Senior Forensic Accountant at Kapila & Company, Certified Public Accountants. She joined the firm as an intern in 2008. She returned to the firm in 2011 after working at a Big Four public accounting firm in South Florida. She currently resides in Tampa, Florida.


Professional Experience

Ms. Amarnani concentrates on providing litigation support, bankruptcy consulting, and forensic investigation services. She has provided services to debtors, creditors, receivers, assignees, examiners and bankruptcy and liquidating trustees. Her investigative cases have involved working in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Attorney's Office, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Ms. Amarnani has provided litigation support and damage calculation services involving solvency analyses, investigation of Ponzi schemes and corporate business conduct. She has assisted in the investigation of fraudulent and preferential transfers, defense, and solvency analyses. She has assisted in bankruptcy-related financial reporting, claims administration, and preparation of bankruptcy petitions, schedules and statements of financial affairs on behalf of debtors and bankruptcytrustees.
